Invitation from ASHRAE Dallas Chapter:
What to Expect at 2024 CRC

Join us in Dallas!

It is my distinct honor to extend an invitation to you for the 2024 Chapter Regional Conference in Dallas, TX.

 

This year's CRC has undergone a thoughtful transformation with the ASHRAE chapter leader of today in mind. In response to invaluable feedback from recent CRCs, we've implemented strategic changes while introducing innovative ideas to provide a fresh perspective on CRC. All changes have been made in consultation with regional leadership.  Key modifications are outlined below.

Our overarching objective is to elevate CRC into an unmissable event, fostering even deeper connections. Recognizing the challenges that come with change, we appreciate your commitment to this journey. We are confident that the adjustments made will enhance the overall experience for attendees, leaders, and volunteers, paving the way for an improved CRC in the future.

When to Arrive

The weekend begins on Thursday with optional pre-conference events, available for an added fee: 

​

  • A golf outing will take place the afternoon of Thursday, April 25. 

  • Attend technical seminars and product expo the morning of Friday, April 26, at the ASHRAE Dallas Chapter Engineering Summit & Expo. CRC attendees get a special discounted rate to attend.

​

The first Caucus meeting of Chapter Delegates and Alternates will take place on Friday, April 26 at 10:30am. Those who need to attend this meeting should plan to arrive at the hotel by 10am. 

​

The conference officially kicks off with a welcome luncheon on Friday, April 26. All CRC attendees should plan to arrive at the conference hotel by 11am on Friday, April 26.

​

Hotel check-in time is at 4:00 PM daily. The hotel will do their best to accommodate early arrivals, but they cannot guarantee early check-in. As with all special requests, if you know ahead of time you'd like to check in early you're encouraged to note this in your hotel reservation.

What to Wear at CRC

THURSDAY

  • Golf - Standard golf attire, soft spikes only

FRIDAY

  • Engineering Summit & Expo - Business casual. 

  • CRC Meetings (Caucus, Luncheon, Business Meeting) - Business casual (jeans OK). We encourage you to show your support for your favorite sports team with a polo or jersey. Don't want to participate? No problem - normal casual Friday office attire will work just fine.

  • Welcome Tailgate -  Casual - We encourage you to show your support for your favorite sports team with a polo, jersey, or t-shirt. This event will be held outdoors, weather-permitting, so be mindful of your thermal comfort. 

  • Hospitality Suite - Casual.

SATURDAY

  • CRC Meetings (Breakfast, Business Meeting, Caucus, Luncheon, Roundtable) - Business casual (jeans OK). Represent your local chapter with an ASHRAE polo or other ASHRAE swag. No chapter-specific attire? No problem - normal casual Friday office attire will work just fine.

  • Golden Gavel Gala - Cocktail Attire. Elevate your style by embracing our chosen theme color: GOLD. We invite you to dazzle in the luxurious allure of golden hues for a truly sophisticated and glamorous evening.​

SUNDAY

  • CRC Meetings - Business casual (polos and jeans are acceptable).
